Contact: displacements not consistent

Hi All,

I'm modelling a simple contact problem between a cylinder and a curved block.

I cannot understand why the displacement of the two bodies are not consistent (there is penetration).

Could you help me please?

    (there is penetration).

    Hi Enrico,

I didn't see the penetration can you please explain more ?

    Thanks

    Hi Farouk,

if you increase the scale of the deformed shape, the nodes of the block go into the cylinder.

In the picture I posted, near the contact, the displacement of the block's nodes is higher than the cylinder's nodes.

Is there any option I should activate?

    Thanks,

    Enrico

One more question: is there a way to couple structural and thermal simulations?

My goal is estimating the temperature of the cylinder, due to the heat flux generated by the friction.
