A lot of files
Today I just found out, that in my 'Documents' in 'SolidThinking' in '2016' in 'Evolve' in 'Images' all the illustrations I make and the latest five (I have put that number in Preferences) are stored. Almost like a copy. The illustrations themselves I have as originals in my own folders. That takes up a lot of space and why is that so?

Lunau,
That folder is actually used as a Render Buffer. If you open the renderings folder from Evolve using Render-Image Browser or CTRL+B, you can select the images and delete them. This will clear the Evolve-Images folder automatically.
Although the actual image might be small, the render data file is always heavy. If you have stored your images elsewhere, feel free to empty this folder.

It is both the renderfiles AND the document/Evolve files itselfe that is stored there....ALL files I have made in Evolve 2016. That is not understandable!

Also with Inspire there is a gigantic amount of files with big filesize (12GB) stored in my documents folder.
What's the impact of deleting those files? For what reason are they stored in another location than wehere the original files are placed?

Hi Simon,
these files can be deleted by the user when the analysis/optimization is finnished. The folders contain all relevant data for the analysis and optimization process itself. This includes several status files, fem files, scratch, and result files for advanced user. The default location can be changed within the options:

Dear Felix,
thanks for your answer.
Unfortunatly I allready changed this location a few weeks ago but he keeps saving files in the documents folder on my c-drive.
Especially the folder 'deserializedResults' becomes very big (12GB)But not as big as the 104GB of the folder on my D-Drive. Can I just delete those files and still have acces to the models if I open the Inspire files?
Thanks,
Simon
