how can we use 'Level-set topology optimization' in Optistruct and what is the main difference between this algorithm and density-based algorithm?

Hopefully this extract from the Help will help you.

Level-set is a kind of enhanced shape optimization that starts with a guess of holes in your model, and them starts re-shaping them to get the final topology.

The advantage is that usually it will give you a more discrete solution, meaning less mid-dense elements.

But on the con's, it has less manufacturing constraints available.
