I have a modele where I will apply ultimate load. It will be a non linear analysis to detect the plastic strain. I want to know if I can do optimization with optistruct with plastic results ?

You could run shape optimization for nonlinear cases with equivalent plastic strain as response.This is supported from OptiStruct 2017.2.3 or higher version.Please refer attached pdf and fem file.

We don't have step by step tutorial for this example. However, you could refer any online optimization tutorial which would help to execute same.
