How does the "No. comp. / elec. period" influence the over all simulation time
Dear Altair Team,
how exactly does the "No. comp. / elec. period" influence the over all simulation time when including rotor position dependency. Regarding a previous question ("How much does the rotor position dependency increase the simulation time"), where I simulated an EESM, I would like to know how the "No. comp. / elec. period" influences simulations and when is using 1/2 period and when 1 period is recommended.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Several parameters intervene in the simulation time, not only the fact you select the rotor position dependency. Also, the no. comp / elec period, comp fo d and q axis, the comp for speed and comp for torque. All these parameters have an influence on the calculation time. For example, if you select the rotor position dependency, then for each position FluxMotor behind he run a simulation according to the value of the other parameter. It is advisable to use a half period (to speed up time computation).
Thanks.
