doubts on the tribocharging model

Dear community

I have one question for the current model: for particle to particle, how does it handle the charge transfer. For example, if particle A (material A) contacts with particle B (material B) and particle C (material C), how to calculate the charge or how much is the total amount of charge transfered to particle A?  In the document, there is only delta_q / delta_t.

Meanwhile, I wonder whether the tribocharging model could be updated in next version, as the current model is too old (Greason et al. 2000). One major problem is that the effects of electrostatic field is not considered into the chage transfer, which is highlighted in Pei et al. (AICHEJ, 2015) and Rasera (PT, 2022).

Thank you very much.

Best wishes

Sunny

    Hi Sunny,

The charge is calculated from the contacts between two elements only, this is stored as a Custom Property (Charge) and summed for each Particle, so the resultant is the sum of all the contacts.
