Hello Experts,

I'm quite new in HM and want to Offset a Shell. I meshed a Surface and defined it as PSHELL (Orange). But now I want to offset this Shell elements by using zoffs (See red Frame)

Is it right to enter -0.0035 to move the shell to the cirlce center direction? I've read that is with respect to the Z-Axis of the element coordinate system. But where do I find this  element coordinate system? So I thought the z-Axis might be equal to the normal(White Arrow) which why I would think -0.035 is correct?

Can you tell me if this is the right way?

Thank you very much

    that's correct.

The offset applies according to the element normal direction.

To get an inwards offset, define a negative value, in your case.

You can always visually check by enabling shell 3D representation.
