How can I constraint as a clamp in drop weight impact test in the simulation?

Hello all,

I am doing the drop weight impact test in Radioss. But I do not know how to constraint as a clamp (the shape is circle) and its position is at the corner of the plate. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

It is the purple one that I would like to know how to do.

Hi

Maybe there are other ways, but the simple way is to add /BCS to the nodes on the coupon that the clamp will constraint.

Other way is to model the clamp and use force on clamp. with that the tangential contact with friction will constraint the region.

It all depend on how accurate you need to model the region of clamping, relative to what you need to observe in the specimen
