How to handle surface meshes after creating a volume meshes
Hello everyone
If I create surface meshes when I create volume meshes, I do not need it during analysis.
What is better to do?
Is it possible to not include only the surface meshes in the input file?
Also, some parts of my model use SHELL elements, so I would like to set whether to include them in the input file for each component.
The reason I want to keep the surface mesh is for editing convenience and to shorten the deletion process.

Hi Kotaro,
You can suppress the surface mesh by simply putting a Hat operator (^) in front of your surface mesh name by renaming it. This will keep that mesh from exporting out to the solver deck and you can keep the surface mesh. Furthermore, you can also use the Faces tool to achieve this and you will see that it also adds the hat symbol (^) and creates a new component. I might not be doing the best job explaining this so please also check the help page for faces to help understand it better:

Here is a picture of how it looks after applying the Faces function to a simply meshed block! Hope this helps!
