Greetings everyone.

I am using Hypermesh2023. And I need to create a shell from 3d element. In old version, I can just do it by using Tools-Faces. But Hypermesh2023 dont have Tools-Faces. I wonder how to do it. Thanks

    Hello,

User can create the Faces for 3D elements from the Validate > "Faces" Ribbon.

    Refer the attached image.

    Hi.

I use this method (video attached) for remeshing/repair solid elements.

In the new HM we have Topology tab and FE Geometry from Elements.

Video I recorded - is the answer for your question - (it is a part of repairing solid el. process in my case. )

    1. mark tetra elements (or other 3d)

    2. create a FE geometry (Topology -> FE Geometry -> From Elements)

    3. surfaces are created from these elements

    4. mesh surfaces created by FE geometry

    5. 3dfaces component of only 2d elements is created

    I hope this helps
