Volume export

Hi all,

 

In a problem similar to the one described on tutorial HS-1535, how can one extract from AcuSolve runs the volumes of a solid; the idea is to use this volume response as the objective to be minimised in a subsequent HS optimization?

You can activate ELEMENT_OUTPUT with the desired output frequency for the volume of interest.  (You may need to switch to OT* in AcuConsole to see Element Output.)  Then using the -oei flag to acuTrans you can get the volume of that element set.  (See the Programs Reference Manual, acuTrans chapter, and look for element_integral_output.)
