EDEM - When I click the "simulator" button and save, the computer will freeze for about a second then the edem crashes whatever the module is. I wonder if something went wrong because my computer username has Chinese characters. thanks so much.

Are you using the Classroom version? This maybe related to an issue with the licensing in 2022.1 for the classroom version. You could run 2021.1 classroom or this month the 2022.2 version of EDEM should be released with this issue fixed.
