Hello Georgi,
Thanks for posting in the Altair Community Forums. My name is Andrés and I work in the Global Technical Team. I'll be eager to assist.
We appreciate you sending the screenshot along. This message could be related to installation issues, so we wanted to ask, did you know if S-CALC was installed on your machine using the EXE or the MSI (silent) installation files? When inadvertently installing the latter, if the procedure suggested in the Licensing and Installation Guide (pages 22-25) is not followed, it could cause the program's malfunction. We highly recommend using the EXE installation files to avoid any issues.
In this case, we can suggest uninstalling S-CALC (more information on the uninstallation process is found in the Guide shared above; standard uninstallation is discussed on page 15 and silent uninstallation on the pages I referred to earlier) and then performing a clean installation of the program using the EXE installation file provided below:
We hope this information was of help, please let us know if this addresses the situation. Feel free to ask any additional questions if necessary.
Kind regards,
Andrés Chávez Burgos

Thanks for your answer. The app was installed via MSI. I have removed the app, but it still doesn't work with an EXE installation. It does work as a fresh install on another computer but not on mine or on another user's account

Hello Georgi,
Thanks for the quick reply, we're sorry that S-CALC can still not be launched on your machine. Do you happen to know if the previous MSI installation was performed following the suggested steps in the Licensing and Installation Guide I shared previously?
Considering my last advice, it might be necessary to not only uninstall S-CALC via the Control Panel but to manually delete any remnant files that were generated when installing using the MSI and then the EXE installation files. You may want to first uninstall S-CALC via the Control Panel (if the MSI installation files are still present after this, please follow the MSI uninstallation instructions provided in the Licensing and Installation Guide), and then go to these folders to manually delete any remnant S-CALC files:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\S-FRAME Software
C:\ProgramData\S-FRAME Software
Please keep in mind that only the S-CALC-related folders and files should be deleted, in case you have other S-FRAME tools installed on your machine. Inadvertently deleting other S-FRAME files could result in the other products' malfunction. After doing this, you could attempt to run a clean installation using the EXE file I provided earlier, and this should allow you to launch and use S-CALC as intended.
Could you give this a try and let us know how it goes? I will remain attentive to your feedback, and I appreciate your patience and collaboration.
Kind regards,
