Hello

running hw 13 desktop v103

 

Odb ( 8 GB) open new model … apply

Click Button „new session“

Yes  à hw stays entirely  blocked !

 

Nvidia K5000,  331.79  or 340.58:  same issue

Redhat 6.6.

 

Only killall hw helps

ALL setting files alread deleted

 

Any suggestions

    Hi Markus Bentele,

     

    RHEL 6.6 is not officially support by HyperWorks 13.0.

     

    HyperWorks 13.0 is supported till RHEL 6.2 and any later versions are not tested and validated.

    I'm sorry not to be able to open your capture.jpg.

     

     I also saw this behaviour on a rh5.9 machine ( via X11 to a rh66 )

     

    We at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG are committed to patch Systems with newest security patches available.

    As you may know there is a smooth transition to RHEL 6.6. running yum update to the newest depot, changes the release automatically

     

    As RHEL 6.2 is over 3 Years old , I don't think it's practical to insist on it.

     

    IF Altair could investigate into this problem and as a result could define a buggy behaviour of RHEL6.6  - i will immediately start a bug request at REDHAT.

     

    Our engineers are heavingly using Altair products - so I would be glad if you could inform your enineering contact about that problem.

    I run since several years HW 12 on CentOS 6 and HW13 now on CentOS 6.6 without problem.

    CentOS is compatible to RHEL.
