What kinds of property should I use for Penta elements?

Hi,

I want to morphing hexa/penta seat cushion with Radioss?

I often use P14_SOLID for Hexa and Tetra elements but unable to run with Penta elements?

Could you advise for this?

Hi,

The pentahedron element is currently only supported as a thick shell Isolid =15 element and used with /PROP/TYPE20 (TSHELL).

I have never used thick shell solid. Could you explain the difference b/w normal solid shape element and thick shell solid for application purpose?

Hi,

In the same file with property P14_SOLID please update the element type (2D>>elem types) of penta elements (keep the element type to PENTA6DG) and see whether it works.

I update Penta elements to PENTA6DG and Radioss ran pretty well.
