Hi,

I create RBE2 connecting b/w 2 parts (holes bolts).

However, whenever I select 2 cylinders, it created each cylinder each RBE2 spider.

Then I found I have to turn off this option again and again. I want it check off permanently.

Appreciate any comments and advice

    Hello Alpha

Currently it is not supported to disable the 'Create separate RBE for each grouping' in SimLab. It should be toggled off manually.

We will create a ticket internally to support your request based on the priority.

As a work around we can provide you with a Custom Dialog for RBE creation with 'Create separate RBE for each grouping' option disabled which may be helpful in your case.

Kindly let us know which version of SimLab you are using as for the RBE creation process, so we can prepare a Custom Dialog for the same SimLab version.

    Thanks & Regards

    I use 2019.3. I think Simlab should remember the setting. :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

    Hello Alpha

As per our previous discussion, I have created a Custom dialog to create RBE's with 'Create separate RBE for each grouping' option disabled.

This tool supports all the entities (Body, Face, Edge) which are supported by the Create RBE tool for RBE creation.

This tool creates RBEs with center node at the Centroid as default.

I have attached the Custom Dialog files & a Demo video on accessing Custom dialogs.

Kindly let us know if you have any concerns or any modifications with the Custom Dialog.

    Thanks & regards

    Hi Nathan

    Can you share your script?

Do you know how to assign this Python to one shortcut key?
