Every time I try to record animation (to send the video to my customer) EDEM crashes. Doesn't matter what file format I choose!!

The most likely reason for seeing this is either an older graphics card and/or recording over remote desktop. In such cases there can be an issue with OpenGL versions over RDP. I would suggest updating your drivers and trying to record the video locally, if you're recording over remote desktop.
