Student Version of Inspire Does not Open

Hello,

I have received an Altair student license for Inspire; however, when I downloaded the installation file provided via e-mail and set up the Inspire from that file, the program does not open. After the installation

"The installation of Altair Inspire 2021.1 is finished, but some errors occurred during the install.  Please see the installation log for details." printed.

Here is the text in the logs folder, pythonInstallerError.log file:

"ALTAIR_HOME: C:\Program Files\Altair\2021.1
COMMON INSTALLER: C:\Program Files\Altair\2021.1\python3.5.4_12_win64.exe
COMMON FILES: Active State Python
PRODUCT DOING INSTALL: AltairInspire2021.1_win64.exe
TIME STAMP: 09/03/2021 08:00:17

The common\python folder does not exist.

Please check the logs folder."

I tried to redownload the installation file of the Inspire, but that did not work (previously, it is said that the problem might be the installation file, that's why I reinstalled it from the e-mail sent me and from a different browser). Also, I have disabled the Windows Firewall, and I do not have any anti-virus programs running.

I plan to attend Altair's Student Webinars, so I must install Altair's product.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Have a nice day.

It appears that the executable/s were corrupted on download and hence you will need to completely uninstall the software and redownload the executables, please check the checksum values after download, i.e. this could mean the file was damaged during download, it is important to first try deleting the downloaded file and downloading it again from the site.

If you still face issues, to make sure the file is not damaged on download, run an md5 checksum on the downloaded file (just google md5 checksum) and send us the result,

    1. Double click / run the Winmd5 checksum executable (download win md5 a freeware from the internet, please note we cannot be responsible for external content and info)
    2. Select the executable by clicking on the browse button or drag and drop the file into the window, you should get a value as below - 8c39a9729a7af8029a1d1923d3db6425

you should also try to install by right click > run as administrator and change the location of download and install location in the computer as well,

    Thanks for the reply.

Although I did everything mentioned, I still get the same error. I redownloaded the installation file, and the checksum validation results are matched. I changed the directory from c: to d:. I ran the installation file as an administrator before the installation.

I added 2 attachments, including screenshots. Also, I can send the log files if needed.

The same error persists; what else should I do?

Any updates? Pardon the excitement; I want to start learning Altair before the classes start.

Okay, I solved the issue. My user account name was containing accent characters, I somewhat changed the user name (I hope that won't cause any further problems) and the problem is solved.
