Grid IDs

I'm using Hypermesh 2019.

Quick question, using Multiscale Designer and the readme file says that Grid IDs need to start at 1 and move up by 1 incrementally.

Is that basically telling me that I need to go to Tools>Renumber> and then renumber my elements and nodes starting at 1? Or are Grid IDs something else? If so, could someone direct me to that feature on Hypermesh?

Hi,

You are correct. Use Renumber for that.

this statement is true for 'External Unit Cell' generation, when you want to create your own Unit Cell.

If you're just using a regular model in co-simulation with MDS, this is not necessary.
