Failing to import Inventor Files - "Error managing neutral data from client side"
Hello,
My organization is currently rolling out HyperMesh and have hit a roadblock - we are failing to import a .ipt or .iam file from Inventor.
According to the documentation, both .ipt and .iam are supported file types.
Here is my troubleshooting so far:
I am importing with default settings, and the only thing that appears in HyperMesh is a Title, without geometry.
Note that converting to a step file and importing that will properly load the file. This is our current workaround, but it's an extra step I'd like to circumvent.
Upon researching CAD importing issues, I found that there are log files for imports. Some samples from "ct_reader.msg" for failed imports have been attached to the end of this post (names have been removed from file paths, these come from separate users).
There is a persistent error message of "Error managing neutral data from client side" - does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? We are new to this software, so my hope is that it's a basic error.
