Specific Data Points

I have modeled a 3x3 cube in hypermesh that is going to be subjected to steady state heat transfer. I want to collect the heat flux magnitudes in the y-direction at two different 'planes' on the center cube. I cannot select the entire face because I need to only see the face of the 'center' cube and not the 'outside' cubes. How do I collect these specific points? I have attached a PDF of what I'm trying to do. This is a carbon fiber 'unit cell'. The circles are carbon fibers, everything else is resin. I've placed a solid box over the boundaries that I want to collect the heat flux magnitudes at to help better illustrate what I'm trying to do.

Also, what is the difference between the Element, Analysis, and global drop down box under the contour tab?

Assuming you have the nodes in your mid pointa and that you have requested flux as an output, you can create a 'measure' and select nodal contour as your measure.

It will create a small probe that can also be plotted.

Also if you make a section cut in your model, you can use the measure 'nodal path' and select many nodes is a line and then plot these results using 'create curve'

Thank you! I will try that
