Free-Size optimization

Hi everyone,

I have done a free-size optimization to define optimum thickness of the shell structure. After that, I want to use these optimized thickness for further process. In other words, I want to import these optimized thicknesses to the shell structure and convert it to solid structure with this thickness values file and apply some other conditions to this solid structure. I know .fsthick file but it is helpful only to show thickness view. I can not convert the shell structure to solid structure w/ .fsthick file.

I believe you would need some script for doing this, as there's no automatic conversion for this case in HM.

Have you any experience with scripts in HM? Try taking a look at the script section here in the Forum.

Thank u so much for your answer sir. The process is also called 'reconstruction' in the literature. I heard that there are some tools for reconstruction tools in HM for topology optimization. Is there any chance to find a similar tool(s) for free-size optimization?
