Transient Analysis and Problems with Bolt Preload
Hi, I'm having some problems practicing transient analysis.
As shown I want to add a change load like this. At the same time I applied preload in both connectors.
What I want to simulate is applying a preload followed by a varying load. But I ran into a problem:
A fatal error has been detected during input processing:
*** ERROR # 1461 *** Card "LOAD" is not allowed for this subcase type.
Now, can't preload and transient load be achieved at the same time? I really can't find where the problem is. Please see my attachment for details.

Hi. Please see the deck file attached running step 1 as a pretension load and step 2 applying the load using the same tabled1 you have created. Use TS time = SUB for TLOAD or adjust the curve in TABLED1 from 1 to 4s.
Use NLSTAT for pretension load step.
For the non-linear transient use Force instead of DAREA, use CNTNLSUB to continue from load step 1 and add pretension load step to statsub(pretens) field to fix the pretension load applied at step 1.
Thank you,1
