Self contact in optistruct

hi people,

at present, i am practing  about self contac in optistruct, but the result of simulation is not righ, that is why please help me, thank 

condition: hyper 2017

*both Part A and part B use material Fe, E 70 Gpa.

* i carry out many situation to self contact, but is not ok

***special situtaion

when i change Discret:S2S to N2S, it can not running, 0 percentage.

>>> all situation have a result as NG, it has penetration although i have set self contact it

    please take care, as your green part is a shell mesh, and not a solid one.

    You are calling it self-contact, but what you're trying to do apparently is simply regular contact between 2 parts.

    Instead of selecting all elements as master and slave, break into 2 different contactsurfs(set segments): One for the green part, and another for the brown part.

    But first of all correct your model, so that both are 3d mesh.

    When you create as 'set segment'/contactsurfs, you will be able to see these pyramids, and they should point each other, in order to the contact to be identified without any further MORIENT options.
