Random Response analysis with load

Hi,

I am working on a random response analysis (PSD) where there is also a loading of 1000N. I have the assembly shown in the attachement, where all the parts are contacted as FREEZE. During the experiment, the red part was connected to the shaker table and load of 1000N have been applied to the orange part. In order to replicate the test, I have also fixed the red part in all DOFs and applying the load of 1000N on the orange part. I am using RANDPS load collector for the PSD analysis. So PSD excitations will be applied to fixed contrained nodes of the red part by default or on the load of the orange part?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Debarshi

Have in mind that the PSD load is controlled by your RLOAD load collector, which points to an excitation load collector (containing typically SPCD or DAREA).

So, your frequency loading is applied where your RLOAD points to.

If your 1000N is a fixed loading you might want add it as a preload, maybe in your FRF loadcase. (take a look at the OS documentation for STATSUB PRELOAD)
