Brake squeal simulation - Complex Eigenvalue Analysis

Hi all,

 

I'm performing simulation in order to predict the dynamic instabilities for a reduced brake system (see brsq.fem in altair documentation).

 

As recommended in the documentation, I applied an SPC to generate a rotation of the rotor but the problem is : SPC modifies the stiffness of the system and hence, the eigenvalues ....

 

In abaqus, they use *MOTION, ROTATION (it's a rigid body rotation) to generate the rotation of the disc. The *MOTION gives a reasonable results since the stiffness of the system remains impact by the rotation.

 

For the next step, I want to apply a rigid body motion in optistruct (the same as abaqus). Is there the equivalent of *MOTION in OptiStruct ?
