GASKET simulation
Hi,
I am performing an analysis using gasket materials. However, I am encountering the following error:
*** ERROR # 4704 ***
The loading path must start from the origin.
MGASK #15 (BEHAV = 1).
*** Run terminated because of error(s) in the input data.
All the loading and unloading curves start with zero pressure and at zero clearance as shown the pics.
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share the model. Could someone identify the cause of this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Please make sure to add exact max closure values in loading curve,

Hello @Rahul R
Thank you for your reply. The loading curves that I am using are provided by the supplier. An analysis using these curves was conducted previously on ABAQUS and a proper results were obtained. However, I believe, since the input deck for optistruct and abaqus differ considerably, some error might have crept in while defining the model in optistruct. Since I am not allowed to send the global model I am working on here, I have created a simplified model of a gasket sandwiched between two blocks. The gasket properties have been kept same as the global model. I am also attching the excel sheet of the gasket loading and unloading curves provided by supplier.
Could you please go through this model and the curves and let me know what mistake I am making.

Please remove FLAT=1 from the TABLES1 referenced by MGASK.
