Question about coordinationNumber

Hi,

I noticed that in contact force API version 3_4_0. A variable named coordinationNumber is one of the parameters for contact elements in calculateForce() .

In the document, it says corordinationNumber to be particle type index. Is it the particle h5 index, similar to edempy? Or usually in paper, it refers to the number of contacts for a particle. I am confused about what exactly this corordinationNumber mean in API?

Regards,

Qi

    Hi,

It's a mistake. It's as you say, the number of particle-particle contacts for a given timestep. I don't know what version of EDEM you have but looking at the 2023.1 build I have on my machine this comment has now been updated.
