Geometry Import

Good day, all.

I created a geometry in Spaceclaim in mm, but when I tried to import the same geometry in EDEM, it appeared so small and not according to unit (mm). So much so that when I tried to create a particle factory using the cylinder option in EDEM, it appeared to be bigger than the geometry.

I have attached a picture; the geometry is in red.

I would appreciate it if anyone could help out with this.

Thanks.

    Hi Johnson,

While creating in space claim the model units is in mm but when you export is it the model exports in mm or other units please check.

Also, what is the format are you exporting ie igs, parasolid or stl etc.

You can share the file which you're trying to import in EDEM, let mecheck.

    Thanks,

    Prasad A

    Hi Johnson,

The stl file imports correctly at my side. what i have done is while importing the units you should choose is mm not any other unit system because stl doesn't store any units.
