Segmentation error

Hi,

Iam getting segmentation error evrerytime even after I installed the software multiple times.

This is so frustrating???? what should I do

    quick question:

     

    when you reinstalled the software, did you use the same installer, or did you download it again?

    Have you checked if your installation .exe are not corrupted? (checksum)

    Sometimes the installer is corrupted, thus the software presents these errors.

    1. I downloaded again and then installed 2. No, and I don't know how to check whether it is corrupted or not...can you please help me with that..? Thank you soo much

    sure.

    every file has a code, that can be computed, based on its integrity. so, if you compare the code of the file you've downloaded, it should be the same code that is supplied in Altair download website (checksum).

    If they1re the same, your installation file is ok, thus it might be something else. If they're different, then for sure, your installation file has been corrupted.

    please, check this post: (note: the code in the post below is not for your installer, you need to get the code from the same place where you've downloaded it)

    I compared the code, and they are same. Do you have any other option ?

    maybe there was a problem during the installation, then.

    there are a few log files in the installation folder. Mayube you could take a look at the .log file for hwdesktop (hypermesh, hyperview,etc) and check if there are any errors or warnings during installation.

    Sometimes some anti-virus systems prevents the installer to unzip some files. Please check for errors or warnings. Also, try opening HyperWorks 2021.
