The nodes of non-free edges in wall elements can not be detached when I used the function of “3D > detach > detach from wall”?
Hi,
I am working on geomechanics.
In my model , the volume was detached by wall elements using "3D > detach > detach from wall".
But I found that the nodes of non-free edges in wall elements were not detached.
How to detach all the nodes of wall elements by "detach from wall" ?
Thanks advanced !
Example is as follow.

Hi, the 'detach from wall' functionality is meant to be used for 'partition' walls inside a mesh, the 'detach ends' option will affect the behaviour of nodes at the exterior boundary as shown in help below
But If you just want to detach your solid mesh from all the exterior bounding shells, then you should just use the standard 'detach from' option in the panel instead

hi,
Thanks for your help.
I finally figured out this option.
The 'detach ends' option could only detach the elements at free ends of the wall.

Hi,
After many attempts,I think that an option should be add to "detach from wall subpanel" to ensure that all nodes in the wall elements could be detached.
Of course, this may only be a suggestion.
But from the perspective of geomechanics users, I think that would be useful.
