HyperWorks CFD Post cannot open the .log file

It's difficult to determine exactly, but if there are spaces in the directory names in that path above - does it work if you remove those spaces?  (maybe Bureau perso - change to Bureau_perso, etc.)  I always avoid using spaces in directory names - but underscore instead.

You can also try converting to H3D and loading that instead.  In the 'Solution' ribbon, select the 'Convert' tool, point to your desired .Log file and set Output format to H3D.  Select the variables of choice (or All) - then Convert at the bottom.  Now in the Post ribbon you can open that H3D file instead.

I tried different path, and I tried to remplace all spaces by underscores, and converting to the H3D, and it still can't open the H3D file.

Maybe it has to do something with the Student version or with my installation of AcuSolve ?

And does the .log file is corrupted or is it usable ?

There may be two .h3d files created - one with the time step in the name.  You should open the other - the file without the time step in the name - probably ACU-T1000_manifold.h3d.  What if you change the name of the .h3d files - to have underscore instead of dash - ?  This shouldn't be a problem - but worth checking.

When you first converted to H3D - did you select/highlight the variables you wanted to have in the H3D file?  (Can you post the H3D files - to see if I can open them here?)

It looks like the solution itself is fine - since that list of variables showed up properly in the Convert tool - no need to try that acuTrans command.

Yeah, i think the solution is fine (making it even more annoying), which makes me wonder if the Post part of the software is working. Is it possible that you send me a result file that is working, in order to check that it is working ?

That H3D file opens fine for me in HyperWorks CFD 2022.  Your .Log file shows you used AcuSolve 2022 (the solver itself).  Can you confirm you're also using HyperWorks CFD 2022?  If not - which release/version?

I did find one mention of a node-count limitation in HyperView of 100,000 nodes in the student edition.  I don't know if that applies to HyperWorks CFD Post.  The model H3D (channel.h3d) I attached has less than 100,000 nodes - and opens in HWCFD.  (I used the 'single file' option when I converted this.)  Does this open for you?

Unfortunately it does not work

I think it has to do with the version/installation or the Student version. In a week I will have access to the normal version in a company, and I think it will be ok, but for my personal use I will try to reinstall and see if it changes.

If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears !

Looks like the EDU version doesn't support post.  (Failed to load on my side also.)  You could try opening the H3D (and maybe .Log) in HyperView - but it looks like limitation of H3D in HyperView EDU is 100,000 nodes.

Are you using the EDU version?  Can you post the .Log file here?

HyperWorks CFD EDU does open Ensight format results.  If the convert tool doesn't present Ensight as a format, you can use command-line acuTrans to convert to Ensight.

I have the same problem. When I try to open the result file .log in hyperworks cfd by clicking ''visualize results'', a pop-up show and says a message error about segmentation. 

Is any one had this issue before ?

Which version of HyperWorks CFD are you using to load the results?  The .Log file indicates the solver version was 2022.2.  Are you using EDU license/installation?  If EDU - you can use the Convert tool to generate Ensight files, then open the .case file.

I would recommend converting your results to ensight and using paraview or tecplot to post-process.

In the acusolve cmd prompt navigate to the problem directory and run the command:

acuTrans -out -to ensight -pb Test01 -ts 25:100

Where Test01 is the name of your problem and 25:100 is the specified time steps.

As far as I know this is really the only way to post-process with student versions.
