Hi, question on interface type 18

First, is there a way to visualize the contact gap in hyperview? I would like to check that the contact gap is working as expected but finding it difficult to view. Secondly, how can you control the DT of that interface? There are some interface time step controls but it seems like none of them are available for type 18. The simulation sometimes has a very small DT value driven by this interface and I am not sure how to scale it up or how to modify it.

There is no way to visualise the gap (for TYPE18 this is a user defined constant), it would be very unusual for TYPE18 to control the timestep, if the model is correctly defined. Check your units maybe? If you can share the model or even just the Type 18 input, it may help us work out where the issue is
