How to increase number of Recent Files available in File>Recent Session and File>Recent Files ?
I often need to switch between different models, and thus it would be nice to have at least 20 of Recent Files.

Probably some configuration file needs to be edited, but my efforts to find the appropriate variable hit a vertical wall of difficulty (in particular, no Boolen logic in the search engine for help)

    Hello,

If you are using HyperWorks, for recent files you need to go to :

    File > Preferences

Application > General > Recent files.

Then you can change the value. In the preferences, don't hesitate to use search bar to find what your are looking for.

I hope it answers your request!

    Regards,

    Marine

I am using HyperWorks with HyperMesh and HyperView and there is no such path as preferences in File Menu.  I believe this can be set in config files loaded by Preference File mechanics, but sadly I don't know much on them.

    See attachment.

Oh I understand. My answer was for our new interface "Next Generation".

Are you aware of it? You have it by default in your installation.

I suggest you to use this interface, we have new tools and the worflow is faster.

In the classic interface you can go to the "Preferences" menu, but it looks like it is not possible.

Oh, I see. I m not using it, new interface. I have tried to use several times, even I had training on it, but all tries ends somewhere in digging out HyperMesh menu. The worst thing of this "next generation" GUI that it does not have user defined shortcuts, abbreviations. And I have plenty of them in HyperWorks, A full qwerty keyboard with handy TCL macros.

So you will not convince me to use "next generation" interface, as it not offer anything special.

    I ll search further.

No I search answers on question specific to "Old GUI". Sade to know that You stop helping old GUI users and focus only forcing Next Generation.
