A valid "focus source" must be specified problem

I am trying to delete the waveguide port and the source for replacing with impedance-defined wire port.

But FEKO does not allow me to do ANYTHING with the source, and everything it refers to. The port, the object, the assembly mesh, nothing may be deleted.

Every time, "A valid "focus source" must be specified" is thrown.

I can copy the source and the port and the model, and delete the copies. But not that source loaded witht the project.

Is there any workaround to the problem?

    Just found the problem.

By method of random clicking I found out, that it was Optimization Goal dependency which prevented the delection.

Why didn't FEKO include the dependency conflict in the error message? It naturally should be there, because it was obviously discovered by the software.

    Hi Andrew,

I agree that the Error message is not very clear. Normally when there is an issue deleting such entity, it means that it is linked to another parameter in the CAD model.

In this case, the error states the name of the depending parameter, which is a Focus Source. In Feko this is related to optimisation goals.

I will forward this as an enhancement request.
