Hi,

I am going to perform a Direct Transient Structural analysis..My units for the given model (material and sectional properties) are in ton,mm,sec..

I want to give excitation as acceleration in analysis..

In real scenario, usually every body is subjected to certain G's(m/s2)...here it doesn't matter whether we considered metres or mm..

while coming to simulation in test standards they have mentioned in m/s2....is it required to convert m/s2 to mm/s2 or not?

My query is here Acceleration to be mentioned as input in m/s2 or mm/s2?
