How can I assign the initial stress data to my model before loading and simulation in OptiStuct?

I have the stress state of the component in *.sta file obtained from the Radioss solver.

Is there a way to assign the initial stress condition to model reading from .sta file before defining loading in Optistruct?

    not really.

OptiStruct supports initial stresses, but it uses a different format for doing so.

You need to input the dta as indicated in the attached INISTRS card.

Thank you for your reply. INISTRS card seems like the option I have. But I am unable to create INISTRS card. Where can I find the INISTRS card? Can I write it down directly to the *.fem file from the text editor?

I believe you will need to write it outside HyperMesh and import it as an include file into your model.

Maybe SimLab supports it already. Maybe it's worth taking a look.
