    You can request Gridpoint forces.

Reactions forces are available when there are constraints.

    Hi @Prakash Pagadala

I am working on project in which i need to find stress generated in bolt. Bolt is between the cover and housing. When bolting torque is applied I want to find stress generated in bolt.

    How to solve this problem

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Teja,

You can either do a pretension analysis and output Pretension bolt force. The PRETBOLT command can be used in the I/O Options or Subcase Information sections to request output of pretension force/adjustment values in the pretension bolts for all pretensioning and pretensioned subcases.

    Or

use GPFORCE to output if you are just running a linear static analysis.

    Teja,

You can open the file in any text editor to get the forces.
