Hi! I am New to Altair Motion view and I wanted to know the Equation solved by Motion view in background while we doing four bar mechanism Simulation in it.Where can I  learn about this in Altair?

Thank you in Advance

    Hi Tejas,

What type of equations are you wanting to know more about?

Is there a demo model you are specifically referring to?

    Thanks,

    Adam Reid

Hi Adam Thank You for Reply

I wanted to know the forces, Linear As well as  Angular Velocity And Acceleration Calulated in background  and what Equations are solved by solver for my understanding. Is there any documentation video or notes by Altair?

Considering four bar chain Mechanism here.

    Hi Tejas,

To measure the displacement, velocity, acceleration, or force within entities in your model, you only need to create an Output: https://help.altair.com/hwdesktop/hwx/topics/motionview/outputs_r.htm

The Output can be created to measure the force at a revolute joint in your four bar mechanism, for example. Alternatively, you can measure the angular velocity of that same revolute joint again using an Output.

The analysis of a four bar mechanism is covered quite extensively as an example model in our MotionView/MotionSolve Introduction v2023 eLearning, found here: https://learn.altair.com/enrol/index.php?id=496

I would strongly recommend you using this material, as it will surely answer these questions.

    Thanks,
