WallMan: General Group-Structure Error - Solutions?

Hello,

I've tried to create a WallMan File in WinProp with the model of a Mercedes C350 out of the ADAS-Folder (https://community.altair.com/kb_view.do?sys_kb_id=e0058104db2ae910cfd5f6a4e29619a3). I imported the model of the car and added a dynamic behaviour in ALD-Mode. But when I've tried to check the movement of the car over the Time Control window, there was a "General Group-Structure Error".

I repeated the steps with the same WallMan-Data, but with the model of a bicycle of the ADAS-Folder instead of the car. With the bike I didn't get this error.

Later on I used the same WallMan File in ProMan and did some simulations. That worked well!

Now to my questions:

1. How can I fix the error with the model of the Mercedes in WallMan?

and

2. Does it have any bad consequences, that I simulated the WallMan-File with the General Group-Structure Error, altough there weren't any erros during the simulations in ProMan?

Thank you and best regards!

Workaround is to first save and then reload the .idb file including the stationary and imported dynamic objects (e.g. cars) before the dynamics are assigned. In this case the mentioned. error is not shown.

    Hello JM,
thank you very much for your report.
We will try to reproduce this problem with the MercedesC350.idb file and then fix it for one of the next updates.

If the defined time-variance for the car is shown correctly in ProMan, there shouldn't be any bad consequences, then also the generated results should be correct.

    Best regards,
    Reiner
