Output of initial shell thickness before Freesize optimization

Dear Sir or Madam,

is it possible to write initial shell thickness information before the first freesize optimization to h3d result files? With my current settings in Version 2017 I only get element thickness results which are already modified by the iterations. Thank you.

Best regards,

Andreas Ruf

    Hi @Andreas Ruf

the initial values are computed in Iteration 0 of your free-size optimization. They are written by deafult to the H3D file.

Depending on your constraints, the initial thickness might be different to your original thicknesses. (i.e: volume fraction constraint of 30%, would force a 30% initial volume, thus affecting initial thicknesses).

    Hi,

Sorry I think I didn't post my question precisely. I was looking for an option to output the original thicknesses into h3d, additionally. This would help me to compare the changes made by the optimization to the original state without separately loading this model into the postprocessor. Thanks.
