Ground Simulation and Contact Problems

Hello, everyone!

I need to analyze a 3D printed prosthetic foot with OptiStruct and, after some research and simulations, I concluded that simulating the ground gives more realistic results. But I don't know how to do it. I was trying to create a plate and constrainting all of its nodes and creating a contact between this plate and the foot. But I don't know if it is correct and it was not converging either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how can I do this in a better way?

Thanks a lot.

creating a plate and adding contacts should be fine. Can yu share your .out file and also some pictures to understand what are you trying to run? (boundary conditions, forces, contact regions,etc..)

I put the force in the ankle, the constraints in the plate and created a contact surface to surface between the foot and the plate (type: slide)
