We have found and fixed some compatibility issues between OSX 10.9 and Evolve 9.5.  We will be releasing an updated package of Evolve 9.5 as soon as possible.

i have recently installed a student version one year trial of solidthinking 9.5. I am running it on a 2008 mac pro with 14 gb ram, and nvidia gt120 512mb graphics card, running mac osx 10.9.3.  I have had a crash everytime i try to run the program, it completely locks the machine up, can't force quit or anything. It happened twice just trying to use the curve tool. Then happened a third time after i was finally able to extrude a surface.

Is this the bug that is being addressed? if not is there a compatibility issue that i am unaware of that is keeping the program from functioning properly?

v9.5 was released before OSX 10.9 and is not supported.  I would suggest requesting the trial version of v2014 to see if that resolves the issue.  If that works we should be able to get you a student license to use.
