SPH formulation
Hello,
I am trying to simulate a tube (ex. toothpaste tube) packing operation. I have to check product behaviour while tube is packing. I used SPH particle. But I dont get appropriate results. i shared rad file.

Hello
I want to formulate Tube and Liquid Interaction.
- Which Contact type can be used? I used Type 7. Is it correct? for this, How to define parameter like Istf , STFAC, Gapmin etc etc.
Want to simulate effect of tube formulation from cylinder on inside liquid? Which boundry condition can be used?

Hi Harsh,
We were looking on your model. Based on the loading conditions provided the simulation is happening correctly. Can you please elaborate more on your project?.
Type 7 contact is correct. You can try with Istf=4 and provide a small Gapmin.

Hi George,
I am working on Toothpaste tube forming process.
there are two cases.
1. I want to simulate tube formation process from a cylinder. I want to check difference between volume of cylinder and volume of tube (Deformed shape of cylinder after process)
I am done with this. Please refer attached video. (Cylinder and tube is empty)
2. Now, I want to fill water in cylinder and repeat tube formation process. i want to check water displacement when cylinder get convert into tube.
cylinder is closed from bottom and later on sealed on top by two plates.

Hii
When i open the results of the above model in hyperview, SPH particles looks very differnetaly. Can u tell me why is it so?<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Hi,
Can you include /ANIM/VERS/44 keyword in engine file and try running?.
If the issue persist please share this model file.

Hello,
I try with above suggestion. problem solved.
one more Question
is there any need of gravity load boundary condition to SPH particle?

Hi Harsh,
I too doubt whether gravity load is required in this scenario.I feel you can remove the same.

hello,
I try with grvaity and without gravity load.
In both case, i didnt get proper result. Please suggest some correction.

i removed it, then no movement of SPH.
