Thermal Expansion

Hello,

I am working on  a problem of Thermal expansion of plastic bottle when hot liquid filled in it.

Is it possible with radioss or do I need to use optistrust?

Is it possible to measure thermal expansion of bottle after hot filling?

Is there any Tutorial, Please suggest.

Need help regarding boundary conditions also.

    Hi,


    I think you can use SPH with /HEAT/MAT and /THERM_STRESS/MAT. But these are available from 14.0

    I am using Hyperworks 13. 0.

    Is there any options available in my current version?

    My every query end up with update version solution. Is it mean that previous versions are useless?

    Updated versions come with updated features and solutions. Not all features may present in previous versions and it doesn't mean that the previous versions are USELESS.

    Hi Prakash,

    We are going for updated version but it will take time. Till then, is there any other option to solve my problem with current version?

    Hi Harsh

     

    Please see the feedback from experts:

    I’d suggest doing the thermal transient in AcuSolve.  Then doing the displacement transient after the temperature load has been mapped from CFD results. Unfortunately, I don't have any example or tutorial for the same.
