Hello,

I am doing Stack load analysis of a bottle where a bottle kept under constant load of 80 or 100 kg for 24 hrs. I have to check bottle behavior at 24th hour.

1.How to do this analysis?

2.Which loading condition can be used?

3. What will be the Run Time?

when i kept run time 7 sec , it took ! hr 15 min for analysis. Then how is it possible to run 24 hr test trail

Please suggest.....

    Hi,

This is a transient load case and you can try the same in OptiStruct.

I recommend you to go through OS-1310: Direct Transient Dynamic Analysis of a Bracket in the Help Menu which demonstrate performing direct transient analysis using OptiStruct.

    Harsha,

The calculation time will be very huge for a 24hr simulation.

If there is material non-linearity involved you have to run non linear transient analysis and this further increases the simulation time.

    Hi,

Is not this a simple static case as the force is not varying and based on static results further loadcase can be decided?

    Hello George

    Hello Prakash,

I am trying this in optistruct with reference of  Tutorial OS-1310 as suggested by George. But how to decide time step values for my 24 hrs trail. I am still confused whether i get result for 24th hr or not?

As the simulation time is 24 hrs which is too long to simulate and as there is on variation in load , we can take it as static case and if stress and displacements are coming high enough, further load case can be decided.
