Hello

I have measured volume of cylinder in hypermesh. Now i want to measure volume of same cylinder after deformation. How to measure it?

    Hi,

The possible workaround is to export the deformed shape from HyperView and open the same in HyperMesh and recheck the volume.

This link shows exporting a deformed shape from HyperView: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_P5GBsUo3U

    hiii

    Thanks.. i will try it.

Before this, one more question. I create a surface cylinder. I meshed it. then i calculate its volume, it indicate wrong value. Ex. i create cylinder of 28 mm dia and 127 mm height. so its correct volume is 78200. but in MassCalc it shows something wrong value. what is my mistake?

    HI,

The volume data is totaled for the elements in the model. When you are providing thickness, HyperMesh will calculate volume only for those elements. For the rest hollow part it will not be calculated.

Instead create the cylinder as a solid and check for volume which will give you the correct figure.
