Energy Spectra and Collisions

Hello community,
I am new to Altair EDEM and DEM. I am research student. I am working on reproducing the published work. In the published, there is work reported with number of collisions and their energy for each collision. When I do my simulation, I see total number of contacts not collisions. From the manual I have read the contacts and collisions are different. As do not define the contact radius, I am using real values only, but still, I do not see the collisions in the EDEM Analyst tab. Any help is appreciated. Secondly how time base parameters of the breakage function are tuned or input as manual doesn't provide anything regarding that.

    Hi Tahir,

In order to get collision data in the Analyst you should tick the Track Collisions option in the Simulator (see image below). Please note that this option is only available with CPU.

Regarding the breakage model, could you be a bit more specific on what you mean by time base parameters? You can check table 4 the following paper to learn more about the breakage parameters used in the Tavares breakage model: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S003259102100615X

    Best regards,
