Quick and Efficient Mesh Refinement of Honeycomb Structures

Hello all,

I am working on developing complex honeycomb models using Hypermesh with the Optistruct Solver interface but I am facing challenges with generating a refined mesh. I used lines to trim the geometry into sectors so that I can carry out mesh refinement in areas of concern. The problem is the process is very tedious and time-consuming and sometimes you can miss some areas because of the complexity of the structure. 

Please kindly help advise of a much more straightforward, time-saving, and efficient way of generating good mesh with well-refined areas of concern.

I'm using a lot this new tool for refining the mesh locally.

It creates a really nice mesh and good transition.

You can give it a try. (it works directly on your mesh, not geometry).
