How to setup motion to the body which includes interface suefaces

I made interface surface in between two adjacent bodies and I also setup motion to the one of these bodies. However solver run was stopped by severe mesh distortion error. On my understanding interface surface is separated to two pieces during calculation because I checked on "separate internal surface" checkbox when I made interface surface setup. Please someone else help me how to setup interface surface correctly when one side of body need to be moved.

May be the deformation of the mesh is too large so HW CFD can not handle it.

You should try uncheck the Motion >> Settings >> Solver controls > mesh deformation.

This often depends on the specifics of what you're doing with the simulation.  Can you share some snapshots and explanation of the problem, BCs, etc?  Can you also post the .inp and complete .Log files?

Please see attached snap shot, inp file and log file. Analysis model have three bodies and two interface surfaces. I executed validation after imported geometry and made two common surfaces. I set these two surfaces as a interface surface by using constraint pull down menu. When I set interface surfaces, I checked "Split internal surface" on. Middle body includes another rectangular area and I want to move Middle body only to simulate Air Flow with internal rectangular area movement. Please review attached information and advise correct setting for motion and or interface setup.

If I understand correctly - the middle body surfaces move with the defined mesh motion.  The mesh in the + and - Z directions around the body need to absorb the motion - so part of the mesh gets compressed, and part gets expanded.  The mesh directly above, below, and to the sides moves exactly with the moving body.  Is that correct?

Are you able to post the HyperWorks CFD database for this?  I think we can do it, but I can't determine which surfaces belong to which volumes, based on the names of the volumes/solids.  It may be an issue with moving surfaces not being removed from the MESH_BOUNDARY_CONDITION( "fixed" ) sets. It may also be an issue with how the motion is defined, to surfaces/volumes, and mesh type specified versus arbitrary (a separate equation to solve the mesh motion).  It also may involve some manual editing of the input file, if everything needed isn't yet available within the HyperWorks CFD interface.

I think it will be easier if I can review/modify the HyperWorks CFD database, then return it, if I can get it solved.

I think you understand my target correctly. If you can correct my setting, it will great help for me. Please review attached model. I removed mesh from the model due to the file size issue. Please re-mesh with 0.08(m) size before run.

Applying boundary layer mesh onto interface surfaces and moving table surfaces, I could leach my target simulation. Several mesh control were necessary to widely move table. Thank you very much for Altair's great supports.
